These cloud fritters are not the same as cloud bread (a cloud bread video went viral on Tiktok in 2021). These fritters get their name from its cloud-like texture, which is light and fluffy. To make it, you’ll need water, eggs, dry yeast, flour, carrots, ham, and green onions. The batter needs to rest which allows the yeast to work and give rise to the fritters. Cloud Fritter Ingredients
Water – the water should be slightly warm, this allows the yeast to work

Eggs – eggs enrich the batter and acts as a binder

Flour – all-purpose flour will work

Carrots – use fresh carrots

Green onion – adds a nice bite to the fritters

Ham – can be substituted with cooked bacon, or left out

Vegetable Oil – Use a neutral oil suitable for frying at higher temperatures like canola, peanut, sunflower, or corn oil.
