I recently was told by the doctor that I need to get my cholesterol down by 30 points in 90 days, or I have to start taking statin drugs. Cookies have egg yolks and butter and won’t help me get to my goal. I made this recipe to accommodate my sweet tooth and maybe even help lower my cholesterol at the same time. Oats are notorious for lowering cholesterol, and the Omega-3 in some cooking oils is beneficial, too. I don’t think anyone will know that these are a healthier choice unless you tell them. Lower cholesterol, here I come.
