Philly cheese steak crescent ring

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Add onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms (if using). Sauté until soft and golden brown, about 5 minutes.
Season the vegetables with a pinch of salt and pepper, then set them aside.
In the same skillet, cook the steak until browned, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside to cool slightly.
Assemble the Crescent Ring:
Unroll crescent dough and separate triangles.
On a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper, arrange the crescent triangles in a circle with the wide ends slightly overlapping to form a ring. The points should be facing outward, like a sun.
Layer the steak, sautéed vegetables, and shredded cheese along the base of the ring where the triangles overlap.
Wrap the Filling: Fold the triangle tips over the filling toward the center of the ring, tucking them under to secure the filling.
