Slow cooker braised green beans

Directions:

Prepare the green beans by washing them under cold running water. Snip off both ends and cut the beans in half.
Add all ingredients into a 5- or 6-quart slow cooker. Start with the wet ingredients: chicken broth and water. Then add the dry ingredients: cooked bacon, minced garlic, diced sweet onion, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Cover and cook on low for 6 hours. If you’re in a rush, you can cook them on high for 2 to 3 hours.
Serve with a slotted spoon to prevent too much liquid from pooling on the plate.
