Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease and flour a Bundt pan.
Make the Cheesecake Filling:
In a medium bowl, beat together softened cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
Make the Pound Cake:
In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add this mixture to the butter and sugar, alternating with the sour cream. Mix until just combined.
Stir in vanilla extract.
Layer the Cake and Cheesecake:
Pour half of the pound cake batter into the prepared Bundt pan.
Spoon the cheesecake filling over the batter, keeping it in the center and away from the edges of the pan.
Top with the remaining pound cake batter, spreading evenly.
